YETI 3000X FAQs

FROM THE SUN
Recharge from the sun by connecting a compatible solar panel. Charge times are dependent on the size of the solar panel. The Boulder 200 Briefcase will provide 200W of solar and fully recharge the Yeti 3000X in 18-36 hours of sun.

FROM THE WALL
Plug it into the wall. Fully recharges in 14 hours using the included 230W Power Supply AC Wall Charger. Not quick enough? Drop your recharge time to 6 hours using the available 600W Power Supply.

FROM THE CAR
The Goal Zero Yeti 3000X can be charged by plugging into your 12V adapter using the Goal Zero Yeti Lithium 12V Car Charging Cable.

NOTE: Do not attempt to charge your Yeti Lithium from a 12V source using a regular charging cable. Doing so may cause damage to the unit.

Yeti Lithium batteries are rated for 500 cycles to 80% capacity. This means after 500 full life cycles from 100%-0% you will still have 80% of the original rated capacity. We expect well over 2000 life cycles on the unit. Put another way, a Yeti 3000X will last 3,032 Watt Hours. A Watt Hour is a unit of measurement for power over a period of time (an hour), or in the case of Goal Zero products, a way of measuring capacity. One Watt hour is equal to one Watt of average power flow over an hour. One Watt over four hours would be four Watt Hours of power. As an example, a 100 Watt light bulb on a 400 Watt Hour battery (like the Yeti 400) would last, on paper, 4 hours.

Goal Zero Yeti portable power is measured in watt hours, and a Yeti 3000X will last 3,032 Watt Hours. So what's a Watt Hour? It's a unit of measurement for power over a period of time (an hour), or in this case, a way of measuring capacity. Refer to the question above, "How long does a Yeti 3000X last?" for the whole story.

Reset your Yeti 3000X by holding the "Units" and "Info" button for 3 seconds. Check your Yeti to see if the issue is resolved after the reset.

A Yeti 3000X should run a full-sized refrigerator for 43 hours.
